The driver doesn’t work and seems defective. What things can be checked to help trouble shoot? |
1. If the LED does not light, it may be a blown fuse. Check the fuse with a continuity tester. Reasons for a blown fuse: Overvoltage, wrong polarity, short circuit. 2. Check the resistance between the high and low potentiometer terminals. It should be in the 1-2 mega ohm area, not in the 50 ohm region. 3. Can AXH is used in vertical application? |
AXH is not recommended for a vertical application. Gravity may cause the motor to back-drive causing the motor to run outside of the speed range. The BX or the BHF is recommended for vertical applications because regeneration units and magnetic brakes are standard options. |

Can I extend the length of the motor/driver cable longer than the 2m total recommended (0.5m included + 1.5m extension)? |
The main reason for the short extension run on the AXH product is because of voltage losses in the power lines, resulting in a drop in torque. The AXH is 24VDC input, therefore it suffers voltage losses much easier than AC input devices. For longer extension cables, AC input products such as the AXU, the FBL , the BLF, or the BX are recommended. |
