When is the regenerative unit needed? |
|
Regenerative energy is produced when there is a large gravitational load (making the motor want to spin faster) or when the operation entails moving a large inertial load (I.e, the motor overrun as a result of trying to stop a heavy load). The regenerative unit dissipates this energy safely, so the driver is not damaged. |
