    Questions & Answers
The brochure shows graphs for “Minimum Positioning Time” at different velocities for each product. Under what load are these graphs made?
The minimum positioning time graphs are based on maximum thrust force for the given speed.

What is the accuracy of the EZ Limo?
The repeatable accuracy is between 5 and 20 microns depending on load, speed, and acceleration.

How do the forward and reverse inputs work?
    In Controller Mode
The FWD and RVS inputs require a 5/24VDC level input signal to activate continuous operation at the current data set’s speed.

Are the motion profile data stored in the controller or the pendant, or both?
The motion profile data are stored in the controller only. The pendant is just an input device.

Can I have two EZ Limo’s operate in synchronization?
Yes. You can run both axes in driver mode and send the same pulse train from the customer's controller into the drivers.

How does the sequential positioning mode work?
With all of the Binary Inputs set to OFF, the START input will run data set 1. The next START input will run data set 2, etc. When the controller sees no more data, the next START input will go back to running data set 1.

Can I use one EZT1 to set parameters on multiple EZ Limo linear slider or cylinder systems? How about the EZED1/EZED2 software?
Yes. For the software, make sure you select the correct package model during setup

When trying to use the EZED 2 editing software I get an error saying "Match Not Found" when I try to select my slider and controller. How do I fix this?
First, make sure on the driver that the teaching pendant selector switch is set to off. Secondly make sure that the part number on the driver key (top of the driver in the center with a white label) matches the part number on the slider. Next, make sure that you are selecting the package number with "controller" next to the number. If the problem persists please call Tech Support with your package part number and version of software.

What is the difference of using EZED2 software and EZT1 teaching pendant?
Both are used to input, edit, and teach the data positions. The EZED2 software enables you to save the data in your PC. It also provides the graphic images, like oscilloscope images, when you test the motion data. The EZT1 let you work without the PC on the site. It also has E-stop button in the case of emergency to stop when you test the motion data on the machine.

My application has a sequential motion, which tool EZED2 or ZT1 should I use?
You can use both to set the data. After your position data (motion profiles) are input and downloaded to the controller, leave the all M0-M5 inputs of the controller turned off. This will allow for sequential positioning operation. Send a Start signal from an external switch or PLC to Pin 7 on the I/O for each position, starting with position 1, then position 2, etc. When the motor reaches the last position, another Start signal will move the motor back to position 1. If sequential operation is not needed, you can also randomly select the data number to run by using M0-M5 inputs.
