Does the screw rotate on the DRL series linear actuator? What is the anti-spin mechanism?

Structurally, the ball screw on the DRL actuator is connected to the rotor, but separated by a nut. You have to affix an anti-spin mechanism like a linear guide to the screw for it to operate correctly. If you do not affix the end of the screw to something like a linear guide, the screw will rotate along with the rotor, and will not move linearly.

On the DRL series actuators (guide type), why is the maximum horizontal transportable mass so much smaller than the max thrust force?

It's because of the unknown moment load. If we have a very good linear guide with very low friction, and reduce moment load to the minimum, the max horizontal transportable mass will be closer to the max thrust force. It’s because of the unknown moment load. If we have a very good linear guide with very low friction, and reduce moment load to the minimum, the max horizontal transportable mass will be closer to the max thrust force.
The unknown moment load also can explain why we don’t’ show max horizontal transportable mass on the standard (unguided) types.
