June 27, 2011 - Oriental Motor Introduces new BLV Brushless Motor

High power motor and driver package offers DC power input with space saving benefits.

Torrance, CA — ORIENTAL MOTOR USA CORP  

Oriental Motor USA is pleased to announce the introduction of our BLV Series, a DC input, high power brushless motor and driver system with connection cable. The BLV Series is available with either a 200 watt (1/4 hp) or 400 watt (1/2 hp) motor, in round shaft, parallel gear or our new 104 mm (4.09 in) flat hollow shaft (FR) gear with a speed range of 100 ~ 4,000 r/min.   

The BLV Series is the first Oriental Motor brushless motor and driver system to offer a DC input above 100 watts and is available with an electronic brake for holding during standstill or gravitational operations.  The BLV Series is also equipped to facilitate a battery power input.  Operations are handled through an I/O control system or RS-485 communications.  Functions can be expanded with use of the OPX-2A controller allowing for improved speed regulation, programming and various display functions.    

 

Additional features include:

  • DC Power Input
    • 24 volt – 200 watt (1/4 hp)
    • 48 volt – 400 watt (1/2 hp)

                                         

  • Extended Functions with the OPX-2A (sold separately)
    • 80~4000 r/min (100 ~ 4,000 basic)
    • + 0.2% speed regulation
    • Set up to 8 data digital settings
    • Display / Monitoring function
  • Torque Control
    • Standard option, ability to change the motor torque, 0 to 200%
    • Used for push motion or holding
    • Set by pot on driver (VR3) or by RS-485 or OPX-2A
