Oriental Motor USA Corp. introduces the new and improved OrientalMotor.com website. NEW COMPACT AC SPEED CONTROLLER

speed controllers accept input power of
100/115 VAC or 200/230 VAC and provide a
wide speed range of 90 ~ 1400 r/min (50 Hz)

AC motor speed controllers can be used with
Oriental Motor's World K and V series AC
induction or reversible speed control motors.

ONE FAN DOES THE JOB OF 24!

When a manufacturer of electronic enclosures was awarded a contract by a telecommunications company to build enclosures for celluar transmission stations they found the ORIX MRS20-BM to do the job of 24 fans.

Each enclosure consisted of 20 printed circuit boards, each dissipating 40 watts of heat, placed in 19-in. racks at 6mm intervals. The racks were stacked within the enclosure in four levels, 92mm apart with a total heat dissipation of 3.2 KW. Any circuit board failures could result in serious communication outages.

Usually, the manufacturer cooled this type of enclosure with four trays containing six (119mm sq.) fans for a total of 24 fans per enclosure. Due to the need to prevent circuit board failures, the manufacturer elected to utilize fans equipped with alarm circuits. However, the installation and wiring of 24 fans equipped with alarm circuits would be a tedious and time-consuming process.

In order to simplify the process, the manufacturer chose to use one ORIX MRS20-BM fan with electronic alarm. Given the pressure of the system, the MRS fan performed as well as 24 of the 19mm fans and dramatically reduced installation and wiring time and expense.
