Reversible motors are ideal for bi-directional operation. With ease of operation, all you need is to connect a capacitor and plug the motor into an AC power supply, and the motor can be easily operated. Models range with an output power range of 1 W (1/750 HP) to 90 W (1/8 HP), so you can find one that meets your specific application. The DRL Series is a compact linear actuator which uses a 0.72° stepping motor and a rolled ball screw. The DRL series is capable of high positioning and high accuracy applications and uses significantly fewer parts, allowing for quick assembly time. Below is this month's "Question of the Month".

Q: I am looking for an efficient speed control motor system that can maintain extremely accurate speeds even with varying loads. In my application, I am using the motor to run a conveyor belt in an assembly line. The parts being moved on the conveyor vary in weight and size. A wide speed range is a must. I would like to have a speed display to show a linear speed instead of a rotary speed. If possible, I would also like to know before my conveyor belt is overloaded. Can Oriental Motor provide a solution for me?

A: Please consider our Brushless Motors and the BLF series. The BLF Series features a permanent magnet brushless DC motor that offers superior performance without the hassle and maintenance needs of brushes. Even with varying loads, it can deliver extremely accurate speeds (+/-0.2% max) by utilizing a closed loop feedback system to constantly monitor and regulate the motor speed. Like other brushless DC motors, it produces a flat, consistent torque speed curve. The BLF series also offers a wide speed range of 80-4000 RPM to accommodate various applications.
