Product Lead Time

Product Lead Time can be found in the Online Product Catalog listed under Specifications as "Available to Ship". For lead time on larger quantities please contact your local sales office.

For products available to ship same day, orders must be received no later than 12pm PST. Orders received after 12pm PST or on weekends / holidays will be processed the next business day.

NOTE: Holidays in both the U.S. and Japan may affect lead times. All lead times are quoted based specific part number and quantity. Lead time for larger quantities will vary. EZ LIMO EZC, EZHC, EZHP Series Motorized Cylinders
EZC Series

The EZ Limo EZC, EZHC, EZHP Series of motorized cylinders incorporate an ORIENTAL MOTOR stepping motor, feedback system and ball screw in a compact, stylish body. The EZC Series motorized cylinders provide pushing and pulling motion using a rod driven by the ball screw.

Wide Range of Utilities

Up to 63 motion profiles can be set. The system uses a full range of utilities such as teaching function, push function, area output function, selection of home detection modes and absolute feedback type. The EZ Limo also supports external pulse input, which means you can combine your existing controller with the EZ Limo system.

Push Function

The rod can be held in a state of being pushed against work or similar object, as with an air cylinder. The force used to push the work (push force) can be changed. The EZHC and EZHP models handle up to 63 push width/force profiles.

Closed Loop Control

EZ Limo features Oriental Motor's AlphaStep stepping motor which has a built-in feedback device. When a condition presenting the possibility of a misstep is detected, the motor performs closed-loop control, thereby ensuring stable operation.

Quick Positioning
EZ Limo uses the AlphaStep stepping motor characterized by its high response and ability to eliminate missteps. By fully utilizing the performance of the AlphaStep, the EZC Series is capable of performing quick positioning operations.

Prevention of Hunting at Standstill
Unlike conventional servomotors, the motor used in the EZ Limo system is free from hunting.

Low Vibration / Low Noise
The EZHC and EZHP models adopt a software-based smooth drive control to suppress vibration and noise even during low-speed operation, such as return-to-home.


Powerful Controller

Choice of Incremental Type or Absolute Type Feedback

As long as power is supplied, the EZ Limo system can proceed to the next operation without executing home detection, even given the occurrence of an overload or emergency stop error.

Choose the incremental type if you want to execute home detection the power is turned on. The absolute type would be your choice if you want to start operation from the current position rather than the home position when the power is turned on.

The absolute type allows the movement of the rod to followed and backed up, even when the power is cut off.

  • EZC Series
    Standard backup - provides a longer backup period
    Optional backup - provides better speed-follow-up capability
  • EZHC / EZHP Series
    These models provide a long backup period of around 15 days (approx. 360 hours).

Choice of Home Detection Modes

You can choose the sensorless mode if you want to simplify the mechanical layout, or the sensor mode if you want to use sensors to detect home.

Sensorless Home Detection
Home detection is performed without the use of a home sensor. The home position can be adjusted. For the linear slides, the direction of home detection can also be changed.

Home detection is performed using home sensors. The sensors are available as options.

Teaching Function

Positioning data can be set in one of three methods; enter the desired travel amount (mm) directly into the optional Teaching Pendant (EZT1) or data editing software, move the table to the target position manually and store the achieved position as positioning data or move the table to the target position using the teaching pendant or data editing software and store the achieved position as positioning data.

Easy Editing of Positioning Data

An optional teaching pendant (EZT1) and data editing software (EZED2) are available. Choose the appropriate accessory based on the required functions.

EZT1Teaching Pendant EZT1 (sold separately)

  • All functions required for operation and adjustment, including setting of positioning data, test operation and I/O monitoring are provided.
  • The dialogue-type user interface ensures easy operation. All you need is to enter values in the necessary fields.
  • No dedicated power supply is necessary. Simply connect the cable to the controller.

EZED2Data Editing Software EZED1 (sold separately for EZC models)

  • All functions required for operation and adjustment, including setting of positioning data, test operation and I/O monitoring are provided.
  • Running on any Windows® based computer*, the software is a graphic navigation tool that guides you through various operations in easy steps. This user-friendly feature makes this an ideal accessory for editing large volumes of data.
    *Microsoft Windows® 98 Service Pack 1 or later.
  • You can also access waveform monitoring, data copy and other features not available on the teaching pendant.

Maintenance-Free for Long-Term Performance

The drive mechanism uses THK's ball screw, while the guide mechanism adopts THK's LM Guide®.

The ball screw employs the QZ™ lubrication system, while the LM Guide® uses the Ball Retainer® to retain the coupled rolling elements. These mechanisms give the system a considerable duration of maintenance-free performance.
