Servo Systems

This course will cover servo motor fundamentals as well as technology developed by Oriental Motor. The NX servo functionality, features, benefits and application examples will be covered. There are 4 specific control modes you can set to change how the NX motor is controlled: Position Mode, Speed Control Mode, Torque Control Mode, and Tension Control Mode. Position Mode allows you to perform highly accurate positioning motion with the built-in, high resolution 20-bit absolute encoder. Speed Control Mode allows you to maintain a speed regulation of +/-0.05% even with changes in load, voltage, or temperature. Torque Control Mode allows you to accurately control the torque output of the motor. Tension Control Mode allows you to preset and maintain a tension force in a winding application without the need for a tension detector or an additional control device. The NX Servo system will also be demonstrated and showcased in this seminar.

NEW! FLEX (3 part series)

Our newly introduced AR series Flex drive, High-Efficiency stepper motor and built-in controller driver package, gives the user options on how to communicate with the built-in controller. All functions can be accessed via Serial RS485 communications using MODBUS RTU protocol. It also has options to communicate via other protocol such as CC-link or Mechatrolink when using network converters or via I/O signals when using the OPX-2A or MEXE02 software set. In this seminar, we will cover the functionality of this technology, as well as give a real life demonstration of hooking up an AR Flex drive to an Allen Bradley PLC to be controlled with RS485.
