Because the genetic testing equipment is used standalone in laboratories, the footprint of the entire equipment needed to be as small as possible, but conventional drivers were large, making it difficult to secure space for the control panel. In addition, the equipment was equipped with a safety mechanism that cuts off the power when the door is opened, which required time for tasks such as performing return-to-home and checking operation.
The AZ Series mini driver effectively addresses these issues. With a battery-less mechanical absolute encoder for retaining position information and a palm-sized mini driver that is smaller and lighter than a single-axis driver, this mini driver enhances safety, operability, and design flexibility.
The AZ Series mini driver contributes to space-saving equipment, achieving a compact size with external dimensions of W47 mm x D53 mm x H24 mm (for RS-485 communication type). It is smaller than a typical servo motor driver, allowing for a significant reduction in equipment size.
