For this case study, our application engineering group combined 2 OVR Series articulated robots and MRC robot controllers with our BLH Series brushless DC motors to run two conveyors to demonstrate a working example of the warehouse work roles; Picking, Packing, Shipping, Receiving, Unpacking and Stocking.
The OVR 4-Axis articulated robot is making a spiral motion by combining 4 circular interpolation motions.
MRC robot controller has 3 different types of circular interpolation motions, "Radius setting", "Center position setting" and "Circular via-point".
In this demonstration, the "Center position setting" method is used.
OVR 4-axis articulated robot picks the empty box and places it in a different position.
This sequence of motion; bringing the box up to avoid interfering with the conveyor guard and placing it down with smooth motion can be done with one command.
OVR 4-Axis articulated robot moves the car in Linear motion after picking using the Linear interpolation command. This command is useful when a specific path between two points is required, such as dispensing material or scan the product.
