Oriental Motor Introduces AZ Series DC Input Network-Compatible Drivers with Built-In Safe Torque Off (STO)

July 7, 2026 – Oriental Motor is pleased to announce that its AZ Series DC Input Network-Compatible Drivers for EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET are now equipped with the Safe Torque Off (STO) function.

The integrated STO function enhances machine safety by removing power to the motor, helping prevent unintended motor operation during maintenance and servicing. By eliminating the need for external contactors, the new drivers also reduce footprint, simplify wiring, and minimize inspection and maintenance efforts.
