Oriental Motor Expands PKP Series with New 13 mm Frame Size Stepper Motors Featuring Integrated Encoders

New miniature stepper motors with integrated encoders deliver high torque and position feedback in a compact 13 mm frame

August 5, 2026 – Oriental Motor is pleased to announce the expansion of its PKP Series with new 13 mm (NEMA 5 equivalent) frame size stepper motors featuring integrated encoders. As the smallest encoder-equipped motors in the PKP Series lineup, they provide a compact, high-torque solution for precision positioning applications where installation space is limited.

The new lineup includes Standard and Harmonic Geared types with 30:1, 50:1, and 100:1 gear ratios, along with a new encoder cable (LCE05B-006). Factory-installed magnetic encoders are available with 200, 400, and 1,000 PPR resolutions, ±0.36° angular accuracy, A, B, and Z phase outputs, and voltage output or open-collector interfaces, simplifying installation while providing reliable position feedback.

Ideal for compact automation systems, the new models are well suited for applications such as precision stages, semiconductor transfer processes, desktop laboratory equipment, dispensers, robotic hands, and optical positioning systems.
